These glasses use Onis’s XTRATUFF technology as an additional heat treatment process which is targeted at the rim of Libbey glass, stemware and tumbler products. This process adds significant additional strength, durability and resistance to thermal/mechanical shock, thus helping to extend the life of the glass in a demanding bar and kitchen environment. It’s barware tough.

Onis – New Brand, Same Glass

Onis, the new brand for Libbey designed product made in Europe.

The majority of Libbey products, available in the UK are currently made in Europe. During 2023, European manufactured product will gradually transition to the new Onis brand. This will include Onis rebranded product and packaging.

Xtratuff – An additional heat treatment process targeted at the rim of the stemware and tumbler products. Increasing the resistance to thermal and mechanical shock resulting in a very strong glass with prolonged life in service.
