How sample requests work

Choose your free samples
Browsing any product, choose “Order a free sample”. Pick the pieces you’re weighing up — across any range or category.

Send your request
Add up to five samples, enter your delivery details and submit. No payment, no account needed — samples are free.

We confirm with suppliers
We check each piece is available to sample. Some supplier ranges can’t be sampled — if so, we’ll tell you and suggest the closest alternative we can send.

Your samples arrive
Allow up to seven days for delivery. Try them in your own light, on your own table — there’s nothing to send back.

Five free samples per person
Every customer can request up to five free samples. There’s no charge for the samples or the delivery.

A commercial service
Free samples are for trade and business customers. Some of our suppliers won’t send samples to domestic addresses, so the service is available to commercial customers only.

Need more than five?
Larger projects often need a wider trial. Get in touch and the team will arrange it for you — call 01825 767276 or email [email protected].

Not every range can be sampled
A small number of our suppliers don’t offer samples. Where a piece can’t be sent, we’ll let you know and point you to the nearest range we can sample.

Samples are dispatched once availability is confirmed with the supplier — please allow up to seven days to arrive.

Free delivery, nothing to return
Samples are sent free of charge and they’re yours to keep. There’s nothing to send back, whatever you decide.
A note on supplier samples
Bentons stocks ranges from dozens of makers, and most are happy for us to send a free sample. A few suppliers, though, don’t offer samples at all — usually on specialist, made-to-order or crystal lines — and some won’t send to domestic addresses, which is why free samples are a commercial service only. If something you’ve asked for can’t be sampled, we won’t leave you guessing: we’ll get in touch, explain why, and suggest the closest piece we can send so you’ve still got something to judge by.
